Impact on the HillWinter Session

Where Policy Meets Purpose

DEG1’s advocacy week bringing Policy alignment to grassroots innovation.

Who We Are

June 2–14, 2025 | Washington, D.C. + Virtual Events

What is Impact on the Hill?

Impact on the Hill w/ DEG1 is a national initiative that aligns grassroots innovation with state/federal policy. From December 2–4, 2025, we will bring community leaders, philanthropic changemakers, and industry experts to Capitol Hill for five days of civic alignment, network activation, and economic visioning.

This is a live campaign powered by the DEG1 Ecosystem.

We invite you to join with us to advance solutions in:

Digital Equity and Broadband Access

We prioritize closing the digital divide by expanding high-speed internet access and investing in digital infrastructure. Our goal is to ensure that every community—especially underserved and rural areas—has equitable access to affordable broadband, digital literacy training, and modern technology tools.

Small, Woman & Minority-Owned Business

We support entrepreneurship and economic resilience through targeted programs and policy advocacy for small, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses. This includes equitable access to capital, technical assistance, and inclusion in public and private procurement opportunities.

Sustainable Land & Housing Development

We champion sustainable and inclusive development that addresses housing affordability, combats displacement, and advances environmental justice. Through green building practices and equitable zoning, we work toward thriving communities that balance growth with environmental responsibility.

Public Health and Wellness

Promoting holistic health is central to community resilience. We focus on access to quality healthcare, mental health support, wellness programs, and safe recreational spaces to improve the physical and emotional well-being of residents across all generations.

Workforce Development and Green Jobs

Through targeted training, policy advocacy, and catalytic investment, we empower underserved communities to fill quality jobs in clean energy, climate-resilient infrastructure, urban agriculture, and green tech. Our mission is to build career pathways where marginalized workers become stewards of the planet.

Why it Matters Now

Through curated webinars, strategy sessions, Hill meetings, and celebration events, DEG1 Ecosystem creates direct bridges between neighborhoods and national legislation.

In a time where division, disconnection, and disenfranchisement are shaping the public landscape, DEG1 is answering with a unifying force: Impact on the Hill —a bold, people-powered national movement rooted in equity, powered by technology, and driven by solutions.

What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a full-scale national platform—with community leaders, policy champions, business innovators, and nonprofit trailblazers converging to address the real issues facing America’s underserved communities: access, ownership, and opportunity.

MiPA Accelerator Pitch

The MiPA Accelerator Pitch: A program supporting minority entrepreneurs with capital access, mentorship, and solutions. Each cohort unlocks not just business skills, opportunity and scalability—but influence. These founders don’t just grow their companies—they shape their cities.

Love Fest w/ Laila's Love Initiative

Volunteers from community cleanups to food distribution, urban gardens to wireless hotspots—is love in action. A festival of civic service, culture, and collective resilience.

  • Grassroots innovation needs institutional champions.
  • Policy must be rooted in what real communities are doing—and what they need.

This campaign meets that moment.
